Job description

Are you a recent graduate of Science or a Science Teaching looking to work as a Tutor?

If so, Teaching Personnel are looking for Science specialists to work as a Tutor for Looked After Children and children who have been excluded from mainstream education. The role will entail delivering Science intervention to students in KS3 through to KS4, including catch up and booster sessions for underachieving students.

The main elements of the job:

  • Supporting learners ages 11 - 16 one to one both in schools and out in the community.
  • Tutoring General Science - Biology, Chemistry and Physics (if you can only do 1 of these subjects, we will still accept your application!)
  • Breaking down students barriers to education and helping to re-engage disaffected pupils
  • Developing confidence, self-esteem & desire to achieve in students who may have experienced trauma and may have Attachment Disorder
  • Sessional and flexible working hours depending on the needs of each student

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
