A Salford based secondary school are looking to appoint a highly motivated Science Teacher to join their school community from September 2019 or earlier.

The school continues to improve against national figures across English, Maths and particularly in Science; consistently increasing over the last few yeas with further progress predicted this academic year.

  • Must hold QTS and specialise in teaching secondary Science
  • Be able to teach all areas of Science to GCSE level

The incoming Science Teacher will be an inspiration with extensive experience delivering Science across Key Stages 3 & 4. The Headteacher wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative practitioner who is ambitious in advancing their career.

The responsibilities for the incoming Science Teacher will include;

  • Expected to lead a full time table delivering inventive Science lessons; planning, preparing and evaluating all class work.
  • Effectively teach the National curriculum within the school's Teaching and Learning Policy.
  • Develop schemes of work, resources, teaching and learning strategies, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of all pupils.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Located at heart of Salford, this well respected Secondary school has just over 700 pupils on roll, aged 11-16 and is ideally situated to be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road); Bolton, Bury, Trafford. There are also various public transport options available with links across Greater Manchester.
