Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Science Teacher to join a team working in an SEMH setting based on the Hampshire/Dorset. This is a full time role, which will commence from September 2019.

Recruiting for an Alternative Provision we have specific requirements for a Science Teacher.

The Role

This is a full time role teaching Science to a mixture of students from Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 4. The ideal Science Teacher will be able to engage pupils and adapt lessons accordingly. This is a challenging role working with vulnerable young learners who may present challenging behaviour.

The School

This is an already extremely successful setting for a School which has been open for only a few years. The School cater for students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties but may present other behaviours.


To be considered for the Science Teacher position, you will:

- Have experience of working as a Teacher in a similar environment.

- Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

- Be able to plan and deliver outstanding Science lessons up to GCSE level.
