Job description

Chemistry teacher required for mixed comprehensive Secondary school in Eccles.

Due to a departmental restructure, our client Secondary school have an open vacancy within their Science faculty for a teacher of Science with Chemistry as a specialism to join their team from September 2018.

This position is initially being offered on a fixed term basis for the full academic year (2018/2019) with the view to securing a permanent contract following this.

The successful Science teacher will teach General Science across Key Stage Three, and deliver Chemistry to GCSE pupils taking the triple Science qualification.

With 800 pupils on roll, our partner Secondary school is average in size and has recently been refurbished under the Salford Schools Refurbishment Programme. Due to this, the Science labs now have been extended to create more room to create experiments.

Located in the Eccles region of Salford, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road). For non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from Salford, Leigh, central Manchester and Warrington.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
