Science Teacher

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

Our client, a mixed secondary school are looking for an enthusiastic Science teacher to join them at the beginning of June for a long term Science position. The school is located in the North of Rotherham, close enough to the city centre to be commutable but far enough that teachers from Sheffield, Barnsley and Doncaster wouldn't struggle to access the school.

The successful Science teacher should be approachable in their teaching style with a cool and calm manner. The school have previously had teachers who have been over-powering in their demeanour and too forceful on the students so are quite specifically looking for a good science teacher who can engage students in the learning.

The school is an 'Good' mixed gender secondary school in the North Rotherham area. The school has a high number of students with EAL as a result of the local catchment area but all are highly engaged in their work.

"We require a Science teacher who is able to put our students at the forefront of their teaching. We encourage innovative teaching styles as long as students engage well with their learning and reciprocate well to the teaching. The science teacher will be expected to get involved with planning, marking and overall assessment as well as take part in additional inter-departmental responsibilities. For the right teacher, this could be the start of a flourishing career within our school" - Director of Curriculum
