Full-time temporary Science teacher required in Bury from January 2019.

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a large RC Secondary school in Bury to appoint a full-time temporary Science teacher to join their Science department from January 2019.

This Science teaching position has arisen due to an internal promotion within the department and will continue initially until the end of the academic year. The successful Science teacher will then have the opportunity to secure a permanent role with the school in the academic year 2019/2020.

Science teachers of all experience levels and specialisms are welcome to apply for this position, and the suitable support will be provided to the successful Science teacher.

  • Full-time Science teacher required, January 2019 start.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum).

Our client Secondary school is larger than the average in the area with 1,000 pupils on roll at present. The Science department is situated within it's own block and provides large state of the art laboratories where practical lessons can take place.

The incoming Science teacher will join a team of ten experienced members of staff, and three specialist Science Support Assistants who provided 1:1 and small group support throughout lessons. It is expected that the successful Science teacher will partake in full departmental responsibilities for planning and marking, and will be fully supported by the Head of Science throughout the post.

Located to the south of Bury town centre, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the M66 and M60 motorway. For those on public transport, there are a number of routes from neighbouring areas Bolton, central Manchester and Rochdale.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
