Science Teacher

Job description

Full time Science Teacher required for a full time role within a Salford Secondary school from January 2019.

Due to a restructure within the department this mixed comprehensive school wish to appoint a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic Science teacher who can motivate, challenge and support the teaching and learning of all their pupils.

  • Full time Science teacher required from January 2019.
  • Initially on a supply basis with the potential to progress on to a long term contract.
  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific qualifications within a relevant Science.
  • Applications are urged from both experienced and newly qualified teachers as relevant support will be provided.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

The responsibilities for the incoming Science Teacher will include;

  • Effectively teach the Science National Curriculum within the school's Teaching and Learning Policy.
  • Develop schemes of work, resources, teaching and learning strategies, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of all pupils.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Salford is easily accessible via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There is also an abundance of public transport options throughout Salford with links across Greater Manchester.
