Our client secondary school is a small, well respected secondary situated on the Manchester/Bury border. Due to the excellent reputation of the school, this is an exciting opportunity for any Science teachers looking to join a forward thinking and creative department.

Highlights of the position;

• February 2021 start date, full time position teaching Science

• Post to continue until at least July 2021, potentially into 2021/22 academic year
• Join successful Science department with collaborative approach to teaching 
• Ideally located for non-drivers with nearby tram stop, on-site parking for drivers

“We’re currently looking for a Science teacher to join us after February half term as we have shuffled the department after an unexpected gap has arose elsewhere in the school. We have no preference for specialist area and would be able to suitably accommodate all levels of experience, including those who are newly qualified teachers of Science. We are expecting to potentially be moving out of lockdown by the new member of staffs start date, but if not we will still be able to support a new starter.”

As the school are looking for a Science teacher on a long term placement, there would be the expectancy that the incoming member of staff will take on responsibility for planning and marking for their groups, along with supporting the overall aim of raising attainment and encouraging pupil progress. In turn for a commitment to the post, the school will offer a bespoke training and development programme, along with a support structure to ensure a successful transition to the post.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
