Full time Science Teacher required for a Salford Secondary school from February 2019 for a 12 month period in order to cover a maternity leave.

With a member of staff due to go on maternity leave in the New Year, this Salford Secondary school are working in partnership with Teaching Personnel in order to recruit an outstanding Science Teacher.

  • Must hold QTS alongside specific degree level qualification within a relevant Science.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

Established in 2011 this Salford Secondary school has seen an upward trend towards developing teaching and learning. The incoming Science Teacher can expect to join a staff team of three Science Teachers and the Director of Science. The school has just over 750 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, with a high rate of pupils premium and Special Educational Needs.

The responsibilities for the successful Science Teacher will include but may not be limited to;

  • Promote the school's vision, aims, objectives and values.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
  • Effectively teach the National curriculum within the schools Teaching and Learning Policy.
  • Develop schemes of work, resources, teaching and learning strategies, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of all pupils.

The school can easily be accessed via the M60 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There are also various public transport options readily available with links across Great Manchester.
