Job description

Are you a Science Teacher who is able to teach the subject up to GCSE? Are you experienced working within Secondary Schools following the national curriculum? Are you seeking full-time work in Scarborough in January 2020?

A Secondary School located in Scarborough is seeking a full-time Science Teacher to teach across their KS3–KS4 classes, including GCSE. The successful applicant will have experience teaching the Science national curriculum across year 7 to year 11. A specialism in Physics is desired, however specialisms in Biology and Chemistry will be considered too.

You will work in classes with up to 32 students each lessons and therefore must have excellent classroom management skills. You will be required to deliver both theory and practical sessions and create lesson plans in line with the national curriculum. You will pre-plan, deliver and mark the work completed by each student, identifying any areas of additional support needed. You will also be required to attend parents evenings and training sessions within the school.

If you hold Qualified Teacher Status, are a Science specialist and experience in delivering Science to GCSE, then we would like to hear from you! This is a full-time position to start in January 2020 for the rest of the academic year. You can expect rates of pay in line with your experience and the role offered by the school.
