Science Teacher

Full time Science Teacher required for our client secondary school in Trafford.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Science Teacher on behalf of our partner secondary school located in Trafford. This is an exciting role which has arisen due to an internal promotion within the school and is being offered initially as a fixed term contract which will continue until the end of this academic year. Due to a strong working relationship with the school, there is an opportunity for an introduction to a permanent post too.

• Full time Science teacher required from January 2020
• Fixed-term contract until the end of this academic year (Jan – July)
• Teaching all three disciplines of Science up to GCSE level
• Smaller than average secondary school in Trafford, good facilities
• Pay in line with MPS/UPS per annum (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)

Our partner school is a co-ed comprehensive 11-16 secondary school located in the Stretford area of Trafford and is currently the school of choice for fewer than 900 students. The school boasts excellent links to public transport links including a tram stop and several local bus routes nearby. In the schools’ latest Ofsted inspection in 2017, inspectors rated the leadership and management as ‘Good’ which is a particular strength of the school.

As a Science Teacher at our client in Trafford, the incoming member of staff will be teaching all three disciplines of Science to both KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach within their specialism whilst teaching the full curriculum. The role will involve the incoming Science teacher taking on full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking, with a focus of the department being collaborative planning and marking to ensure that students receive an excellent education. Prospective applicants should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the UK, and Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are encouraged to apply as the school are able to support the induction of any newly qualified staff.
