Full-time Science Teacher - Leigh

• Full-time Science teacher required to start from January 2019 with employment being offered for the remainder of the academic year.

• Excellent opportunity to work within a well respected secondary school in Leigh with a view to earn a permanent contract after the initial temporary period.

• Pay for this position will be in line with newly introduced MPS and UPS standards - £23,720/£39,406.

The Assistant Head teacher wishes to meet with interested Science teachers at the earliest convenience in order to ensure a smooth transition ahead of January 2019.

This school require a full-time Science teacher to fill a temporary gap within the Science faculty following the Christmas period. Due to the nature of the temporary requirement, the Science teacher will initially be required until the end of the academic year. There is the potential of an extension following the success of the initial period.

Requirements in order to be considered;

• Must have experience teaching Biology/Chemistry/Physics at GCSE level.

• Will be able to showcase interactive and engaging teaching practice.

• Be able to stretch the learning of their pupils and be able to obtain excellent results at GCSE level.

• Willing to go the extra mile for pupils to create an inclusive learning environment.

Our partner Secondary school is small in comparison with other Secondary schools in the area and currently had around 700 pupils on roll. The school is located on the border of Leigh town centre and is just minutes away from the A579 making it commutable from surrounding areas. If commuting via public transport then the school can be easily accessed from Wigan and Bolton.
