Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with an 11-16 secondary school located within the Bolton LEA who wish to appoint a full time Science teacher from January 2018.

If you are a qualified Science teacher looking for a rewarding post within an Ofsted graded 'Good' school, this could be the perfect position for you

  • Full time Science teacher - commencing January 2018
  • High achieving Science department with grades consistently above the national average
  • Both experienced and newly qualified Science teachers welcome to apply (Biology, Chemistry and A Level specialists)
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant upon experience (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum/pro rata)

The successful applicant will be joining a well resourced Science department within a school which has consistently achieved 'Good' rating in previous Ofsted inspections. The department consists of six other Science teachers, alongside two Science intervention specialists. The incoming Science teacher will be required to teach all areas of Science to KS3 and your subject specialism to GCSE level, as well as taking on full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking, attending termly parents evenings and assisting to write schemes of work.

Our client school is located on the border of Farnworth and Little Lever in Bolton, making it easily accessible from the M61 and M60 motorways. For non drivers there are strong public transport links from Bolton town centre and surrounding areas, Salford, Bury and Wigan.
