Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Science teacher on behalf of our client, a Secondary school in South Gloucestershire.

About the role:

  • This role will begin in January 2019
  • It is a full time position for the rest of the academic year.
  • The pay rate can be expected to be between £110-150 a day - dependant on experience.
  • This is a full time
  • You must be a fully qualified teacher to apply for this role.
  • You must be confident in teaching all areas of Science to KS3 and KS4
  • You will need a valid DBS and be on the Update Service to apply for this role - Teaching Personnel can provide guidance on how to apply for this if needed.

As this is a full time teaching role the successful candidate will be expected to full immerse themselves into the Science department and take on all the responsibilities of a teacher - lesson planning and marking included. These responsibilities will be reflected in the pay.

The School:

The school itself is a Secondary school in the South Gloucestershire area - It is worth noting that if you live in South Wales you should also consider this position as it is easily accessible from the M4/M5 motorway network.

The school has a 'Good' OFSTED rating for behaviour. However the rest of the school does require improvement.

Since the report "inspectors have recognised that the school is improving but have asked that they accelerate the pace of change, especially to improve teaching".

The successful candidate should be confident in the fact that they will be able to contribute to these improvements and improve the level of teaching.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
