Job description

We are currently seeking a Newly Qualified Teacher, Fully Qualified Teacher or Overseas Trained Teacher with a science specialism to appoint in a well-established, but developing school near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

At an exciting time for the school, this role would be ideal for a Fully-Qualified Teacher (FQT), a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or Overseas Trained Teacher (OTT) with a real passion for Science. With plans to expand in the future, this could open up career development opportunities within the Science department.

The successful applicant will be able to communicate well with staff, parents and pupils. You should have an excellent knowledge of the GCSE curriculum for Science in order to teach to the best of your ability. You should also be confident to manage the behaviour of pupils aged 11-16 years in line with the school's policy, ensuring pupils stay focused and engaged in lessons. The role will also involve the planning of lessons, preparing lesson resources and marking of workbooks and mock exams.

This is a long-term position, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
