Science Teacher - Chemistry

Large mixed comprehensive 11-16 Secondary school in Newport require a Science teacher who specialises in Chemistry for a September 2018 start.

Well respected for its performances and strong leadership this is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Scientist to work in a high achieving Science department.

This is an open vacancy initially on a temporary basis with the option for the successful Science teacher to earn a fixed term or permanent contract. The school received a Good grading overall in their latest Estyn report in 2015, with the school being praised for their quick response to improving the attainment of under achieving students.

Currently the school is achieving above there progress 8 targets with a positive score and 65% of students achieving at least 5 A*-C grades in their latest examination results. With 1300 students on roll this will ne a full time Science teaching post across all year groups with KS4 Chemistry being an essential requirement.
