Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a Catholic school in the Liverpool area to recruit a Science Teacher with a specialism in biology for a 2-term contract through to the end of the academic year. Should the candidate be successful in the post then they will be considered for a permanent position starting in September 2018.

The school has been graded "Good" in all areas by Ofsted in a recent inspection. The school have been commended for the improvements made by the senior leadership team regarding the behaviour in school and the progress made by pupils. The school are now looking for a teacher with a strong ethic regarding behaviour management to uphold the improvements which have been made. The school would be happy to consider applications from candidates of all faiths; however, a successful candidate must be happy to support the catholic ethos of the school.

A suitable candidate should be experienced delivering science across all 3 specialisms to KS3 and Biology to GCSE level. Ideally a candidate will have some experience with delivering A-Level Biology. The school is following the new AQA science specifications across both GCSE and A-level courses and so experience working with this exam board would be preferable, however, not essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
