Science Intervention - December Start

Teaching Personnel are working to recruit a science graduate who will be trained to deliver science lessons to small groups in a local secondary school in Newport. This is an ideal role for a science graduate or someone who has a strong background in science and looking to be a teacher in the future to use it as good experience. These intervention sessions are used to help increase pupils science knowledge for their exams.

This is a friendly and welcoming secondary school with a successful science department. Based just off the M4 the school is very accessible via public transport. This role will be supporting pupils of all ages and abilities thorughout the school. All learning materials will be provided meaning you don't have to plan any lessons, the work will all be set for you to deliver. 

What you will need:

  • Science degree or equivalent
  • Experience delivering schemes of work (Tutoring, Coaching, workshops)
  • Enhanced DBS (Assistance provided)
  • Registered with the education workforce council (Assistance provided)

Teaching Personnel will offer guidance throughout the whole process as well as continuous training to help excel in this intervention role.
