Science Graduate Teaching Assistant

Our client secondary school located in North Manchester are looking to recruit a Science graduate teaching assistant ahead of September 2018.

The incoming Science graduate teaching assistant will train and earn money whist gaining a teaching position. Our partner secondary school in Manchester are currently recruiting for aspiring teachers for 2019. This designated future teacher's programme will allow you to be working one year as a graduate teaching assistant and progressing to a years teaching programme to train to become a fully qualified teacher in your chosen subject area.

  • Graduate teaching assistant one year post
  • Second year (2019-2020) teacher training year
  • Earn up to £350 per week whist training
  • September full time position

The school are looking for an enthusiastic Science graduate Teaching assistant to join a well structured Science department who consistently achieve excellent results. The incoming Science Graduate teaching assistant will gain the skills and experience to become a Science teacher in the future. You will work in a variety of classes supporting learners and working alongside your mentor seeing the day to day experience and profession of a teacher. Other responsibilities include.

  • Assisting day to day classroom support and assisting with behaviour
  • Developing good relationships with pupils
  • You will be working across the year doing intervention work with low ability pupils and general support in the classroom
  • Assisting day to day classroom support and assisting with behaviour
  • Encouraging students to interact with other students within the classroom and activities led by the teacher

This Graduate Teaching assistant role will involve Building strong relationships with pupils and be able to stretch and challenge the learning of all pupils no matter their ability.

This large school has a warm welcoming team at this vibrant, supportive school. This school has a strong links with the community, with excellent relation with their partner primary schools.

Located in Manchester our partner secondary school can be accessed from Oldham, Bury, Rochdale and Ashton- under- Lyne access to M6 motorway and good transport links from Manchester. For non driver's access to public transportation links from Manchester city centre directly to the school, the school has a designated car park.

It is essential that all interested applicants have a Science based degree, or are coming to the end of a Science based degree, and will be available full time in the new academic year.
