The Headteacher of a reputable Primary School in Preston is in search of a Business Support Officer to join their busy school office.
PLEASE NOTE – in order to be considered for this role you MUST have experience of working in a school office.
The Headteacher of this over-subscribed school is keen to appoint a Business Support Officer to take on a full time role in school working 37 hours per week. The Headteacher is keen to appoint on a temporary basis in the first instance with the view to go onto a school contract following a successful probationary period.
As School Business Support Officer you will report directly to the Headteacher and work alongside another Business Support Officer sharing the schools vision of constant improvement and development of best practice. Main responsibilities include providing administrative and secretarial support to the Headteacher and Senior Leaders as well as providing financial and strategic advice.
This is a 360 role 37 hours per week. You will be in charge of leading the schools support staff; you will also be responsible for the planning, development and also the implementation of financial and administrative services as well as Human Resource Management.
Person Specification:
In order to be considered you must hold A-Levels or a finance or business related qualification as well as relevant experience within a school environment.
The successful applicant must be familiar with SIMS and you must also promote the welfare of children and young people and follow the associated child protection and safeguarding policies adopted by the school and the Lancashire County Council. You will be the lead person in school for GDPR compliance and communicate these policies throughout the school.
The rate of pay for this role will vary dependant upon experience varying from GBP10-GBP12 per hour whilst working through Teaching Personnel. Following a successful probationary period, the salary whilst on a school contract would vary from GBP21,166 to GBP24,799.
This role is to begin in November 2019 and is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced school administrative assistant or for an experienced Business Support Officer looking to take the next step within their career within a well established Primary School.
