Job start ASAP!

One of the schools we work closely with in Sydenham who was rated 'Outstanding' on the previous Ofsted inspection has an exciting job role available for a TA, who is looking for full-time work and working closely with KS2 pupils who need the extra assistance with their SATs work. The school has a role within Year 5/6 (depending on what class needs the support) as a teaching assistant offering extra support to the pupils who are struggling with the SATs preparation. The role could become long-term after the SATs if the school is pleased with your progress. Located in Sydenham there are routes directly from central London into Sydenham train station for quick access. Bus routes are easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Lewisham and Peckham.

The ideal candidate would be a confident out-going person who can build relationships with their pupils through assisting in teaching and preparation for the upcoming SATs. There may be some challenging behaviour so having patience and composure is an essential skill for this role due to teaching Year 5/6 pupils. This role would be good for graduates who are looking for some experience in the education sector. You may also assist with more teacher based roles like planning a lesson and assisting with administrative roles such as printing.

We can offer a dedicated consultant to support you throughout the whole process who has a genuine interest in delivering excellence to you and your career.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
