Design and Technology - Resistant Materials Specialist Teacher needed ASAP

A Secondary School in Wickford require an enthusiastic and ambitious Teacher to join the Design and Technology department to teach Design and Technology. The successful candidate needs to be able to offer Resistant Materials.

The Design and Technology Department consists of 3 Design and Technology teachers, one RMT technician and one Food/Textiles technician. The Department has a record of examination success at all levels and has sent many students on to higher education, apprenticeships in Engineering and Design Colleges.

As a crucial team-member in the Design and Technology Department, you will be one of three working under the guidance of the experienced Head of Department. You will be a knowledgeable and innovative teacher, who sees this role as an opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of the curriculum, in a way that best serves students and the community.

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

Excellent subject knowledge

Ability to build positive working relationships with students and staff

Passion for delivering outstanding teaching practice

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
