Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Design and Technology teacher on behalf of our client located on the outskirts of Bury Town centre.

The school wish to appoint a Resistant Materials teacher initially on a 12 month basis due to a member of staff moving on due to promotion. This is an open vacancy and the incoming member of staff will have the opportunity to earn a permanent position following the initially 12 month employment.

  • Design Technology cover - Resistant Materials
  • Bury based Ofsted Good school - Ofsted 2018
  • Full time position starting September 2018
  • Supportive SLT team and high staff moral within the DT department

"We have a requirement within our Tech department for a Design and Technology teacher who can lead a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE Resistant Materials. We are able to offer the incoming teacher a temporary contract initially with the view to earning a permanent contract. Our pupils are hard working and respectful towards staff; we consistently achieve results above the national average". Headteacher

The school have stated that the incoming Design and Technology teacher must have prior experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Resistant Materials. The timetable will have appropriate release/PPA time, you will be invited to any CPD and training during your time on supply and the senior leadership team are consistently enforcing the schools behaviour policy.

This school is located in central Bury, just a short drive from the M66. There is on site parking free on charge for all members of staff and the school is a short walk from Bury Metro link for those on public transport. Most recently graded by Ofsted as a 'Good' across all areas, this is a well managed and established secondary school.

'The leadership team maintain a good quality of education within the school and a continued journey of improvement' Ofsted 2018.

It is average in size with around 1050 pupils on roll and serves a diverse catchment area of pupils, the majority of whom are from a white british heritage. The new Headteacher appointed at the start of this academic year, has formed a strong leadership team who provide clear direction and offer full support to staff.
