Residential Support Worker

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a residential home in Alton, who cater for children and young adults with physical disabilities.

They are looking for a Support Worker with previous experience working within Special Needs, to assist the pupils in their everyday lives. You will be an integral part of their daily development and learning, so a patient and calm nature is essential.

Daily duties will include getting the pupils up and ready for school, doing homework and activities with them, helping to bath and dress, carrying out life skills and helping to cook dinner. Helping to administer medication to the pupils will also be required.

Working to a rotational shift pattern is a requirement, so the suitable candidate will need to be flexible to work nights and some weekends too.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
