About the setting:

A 38-52 weeks school and home for children and young people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Located in the glorious Dorset countryside with 28 acres of land for play and relaxation, the school boasts of many facilities such as a theatre, sports hall, indoor and outdoor riding areas, climbing wall, multiple safe play areas and a swimming pool.

Children and young people have full access to the National Curriculum with teaching appropriately differentiated to meet their needs. In addition, The Forum School draws upon a proven programme of specialist education and 24 hour care with a wide range of clinical and therapeutic inputs.

About the role:

Children’s Residential Care Worker

  • Night shifts
  • Normal shift hours are 20:00 – 08:00
  • Working 4 nights on followed by 4 nights off, on a rolling rota
  • There is of course some flexibility and the managers know how important a good work life balance is for their team

Experience is not necessary as the school provide an induction course and ongoing training including MAPA (behaviour de-escalation training).

We also have opportunity for day workers so if this is more of an interest to you, please do get in touch to discuss working hours.

The school is not easily accessed by public transport so it is essential you drive and have access to a vehicle.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
