Following on from the Easter break, starting on Tuesday 14th April; a reputable secondary school situated in Trafford is looking to recruit a Religious Studies teacher. The successful teacher of Religious Studies is required as a result of a permanent member of the Humanities department being absent for the final summer term. The school are therefore looking for a Religious Studies teacher for the duration of the summer term with a possibility of taking on a school based contract thereafter if this is of interest to the Religious Studies teacher.

The successfully appointed Religious Studies teacher is required on a full time basis teaching at KS3 and GCSE level following the AQA specification. The Head of Humanities said of this teaching position:

“We are looking for a Religious Studies specialist to join our team for a term following the Easter break. We return from the holiday on Tuesday 14th April following the bank holiday with the RS specialist being required from this point. Our Humanities team is made up of 7 teachers currently consisting of over 30 years experience between us. As a result, any NQTs or those more experienced will fit in well given the variety of teachers in our department and we are happy to take applications from any. Any experience with the AQA specification is desirable as well as the RS teacher having experience of teaching KS3 and KS4.”

The school has a large on site car park as well as the latest equipment having had a full refurbishment in the past 3 years.

As a Religious Studies teacher, you should be a specialist in this field who is confident covering all aspects of the curriculum. The school pride themselves on having an effective team especially in the Humanities department with 2 specifically dedicated Teaching Assistants that also support in lessons providing intervention and clubs as required.
