A school, outstandingly located in the city centre connected to the whole of Manchester, is looking for a Cover Supervisor to start immediately with an end date of July 2023.

This highly ambitious school strive to ensure an outstanding education for every student and with you joining the team you must look to maintain these values. Teaching staff provide an environment which manages student behaviour effectively, promoting and developing positive learning behaviours and focus from students.

Role involves:

  • Delivery of pre-set lessons
  • Behaviour management in line with school policies
  • Working hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm
  • Working as part of a strong staff team to inspire and develop students
  • Ensuring students engagement

  • Versatility and knowledge to teach multiple subjects across the curriculum

  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with both staff and students

Skills this role will develop include:

  • Operational knowledge of the national curriculum and relevant learning programmes
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work proactively and independently
  • Enhanced negotiating and persuasive skills
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, literacy and ICT skills
  • Ability to use relevant equipment/resources
  • Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
  • Understanding of students who have SEN needs
  • Experience of behaviour management

You will be supported by an extremely dedicated and robust leadership team where leaders ensure that the curriculum taught focuses to develop and build students.

Pay scales from £350-£400 a week depending on where your experience places you in the pay scale. While initially the role is temporary there is a prospect for a permanent contract beyond the end date of July 2023.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
