Job description

An average sized secondary school in Barnsley are looking to appoint a dynamic and innovative RE teacher to join a well-resourced Humanities department in September 2020.

This is a full time post for two terms initially but with the potential to continue for longer.

Responsibilities of this RE teacher position:

  • To deliver KS3 and KS4 RE to mixed ability groups
  • To plan and teach well-structured lessons
  • To set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • To demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge

What you'll need to succeed:

  • To succeed, you will be a qualified Religious Education Teacher, NQT's welcome to apply, who can start work as soon as schools are back in
  • You will need an energetic and enthusiastic outlook on RS and humanities to keep pupils at all levels engaged
  • A child workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
