Teaching Personnel are currently working with an Ofsted ‘Good’ graded Roman Catholic High School that is based within the Wigan LEA to appoint a Religious Education teacher on a full-time basis.

The school now seek to appoint a Religious Education teacher with a track record of achieving excellent results at GCSE level.

This maternity cover is open to Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT) as well as experienced inspirational practitioners that are able to make a significant contribution to raising expectations and standards through dynamic teaching and learning.

Role Details:

  • Religious Education Teacher
  • Full-time Maternity cover from May 2024
  • Complete planning and marking responsibilities are included
  • Pay in line with your experience and pay scale MPS/UPS

This Catholic high school is a voluntary aided, 11-16, mixed comprehensive secondary school that falls under the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Liverpool and is situated within the Wigan LEA. If travelling to the school via car then school is just a short drive away from the East Lancashire road, which ensures that it is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of St Helens, Warrington and Bolton. There are also direct public transport links from Wigan town centre.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
