Level 2 or 3 TA needed to support Phonics in Year 1- Poole based school

A large 2.5 form entry school in Poole in Dorset requires an experienced Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to support in the learning of Phonics in a Year 1.

The school require a TA in September for 1 term initially to help boost the progress in Phonics in the run up to the Phonics screening later on in the year. The successful candidate must have a creative and practical approach to the teaching of Phonics, and should be confident in teaching from Phase 2-6 of the Letters & Sounds Phonics Scheme. Any experience of Jolly Phonics and Read write Inc. would also be desirable however not essential.

The school is a 2.5 form entry Primary School that is located in Poole in Dorset. The Head teacher requires a confident and knowledgeable TA that can adapt easily to the fast pace and lively nature of this energetic school. The role will be to work during the mornings to support Phonics and Reading and 3 afternoons per week working with Year 2 catch up Phonics groups that have to resit the Phonics’ screening.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
