Teaching Assistant required for extra Support in a 'Good' Sefton Reception class

  • Level 3 or Degree qualification and 12 month experience required
  • Up to £10 per hour, depending on experience
  • Full-time post starting May 2017 - ending Dec 2017

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to begin a post starting in May 2017 and to run until the end of 2017. The Headteacher of this over subscribed popular large Primary School in Sefton is looking for additional support specifically for the pupils with speech language and communication needs in the reception class. Due to a recent member of staff leaving there is an opportunity for the ideal candidate to come in and hit the ground running.

The incoming Teaching Assistant will enjoy the benefits of working in a 2 form entry, 'Good' popular Primary School. When the pupils join the school in the EYFS stage the levels are usually well below what is typical for their age, however when they leave in Year 6 results are generally significantly above average.

The behaviour in school is 'Good' and the pupils are polite, well mannered and welcoming, exclusions are unheard of. Teaching Assistants enjoy coming into school because behaviour and attendance are both good, in addition the support from senior leaders is constant and evident. The school was described by one parent as an 'asset to its community'.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
