Reception (EYFS) Teaching Assistant- Bushey, Watford

Competencies:

Teaching Assistants who are looking for a career change or a new opportunity:

• Ideally have a Degree or Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Nursery or Primary Based experience
• Minimum six months experience working with children in EYFS
• SEN experience (desired)

The Role:

This role as EYFS TA will see you working within a reception class where alongside the class teacher you will support around 30 young children. On occasion you will work with small groups of children between 3- 6 pupils who require additional support and providing them with reading or writing interventions. Your main aim will be to encourage and ensure that students are working to the national average and challenge those who seem to be less engaged within the classroom. This will be done by completing various focused activities with the pupils; identifying what areas they need more help with compared to others.. Within this role you will be able to showcase the skills that you currently have and also to develop skills that will be an asset in the future.

Currently it is a two form entry school and also has a nursery and Pre School on-site has been rewarded 'Good' by Ofsted.
