Reception Teacher Needed- January 2026 Start

Location: Tooting
Contract: Full Time (January 2026- July 2026)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Tooting from January 2026 to July 2026.
The successful candidate will lead a well-resourced Reception class, supported by two experienced Teaching Assistants, and will play a key role in providing an engaging and nurturing start to our pupils’ learning journey.

About the Role:

  • Full-time class teacher position in Reception (EYFS)
  • January 2026 start until July 2026 (the school would like someone in for a trial day before Christmas)
  • Work collaboratively with two TAs to deliver high-quality early years provision
  • Plan and deliver engaging, child-centred learning experiences
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress in line with EYFS frameworks

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within the EYFS
  • Strong knowledge and delivery of phonics
  • A nurturing, creative and proactive teaching approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and friendly team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
