Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a client school that are looking to recruit a Reception Teacher to start as soon as possible. The school is a an average sized Primary school based in South Liverpool. The school have a teacher going off on maternity leave in the next month.

It was graded 'Good' in its last Ofsted report and by the end of Year 2, standards in mathematics are high and in reading and writing are around the national average. Pupils' progress in Phonics is broadly around the national average and this is something the new Headteacher is looking to improve.

The Reception class consists of 25 pupils from varying backgrounds and mixed ability. There are a small number of pupils in the class with additional needs however; there is 1 Teaching Assistant in place to offer support and guidance throughout the placement. The school are looking for someone with experience working in Key Stage 1 within the last 12 months.

The 2 form entry primary school has a supportive head of Key Stage 1 and you will be joining a well structured team. The school has secure parking facilities and is close to local transport links including a train station with 10 minutes walking distance.
