Reception Class Teacher- Easter 2018 start

  • A Primary School located between Blackburn and Accrington in Lancashire
  • Long term Maternity cover role- Expected to be 9-12 months
  • QTS required and experience in EYFS is a necessity

A larger than average Primary School in the heart of Lancashire have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a committed and hard working EYFS practitioner to cover a maternity from Easter 2018. The school does fall within a challenging catchment area and with this the children arriving in the Early Years are generally working below expected levels. The Head teacher has given a specification which includes; A teacher with experience in Early Years, someone who is committed to raising standards and happy to introduce strong behaviour management techniques and strategies in the class, as well as someone who will work as part of the TEAM. The Head teacher is a cheerful and approachable character who is keen to move her school from GOOD to OUTSTANDING in the next couple of years. She needs to appoint individuals who have the same mentality.

This role will be to work five days a week from Easter 2018 with the expectation to continue for at least 9 months. Reception is a very important year group as you will probably know, so the Head teacher is keen to take her time and appoint the best person. This person will have experience in Early Years and will be able to move children's learning forward.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
