Reception Class Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is currently working alongside a client school in Lambeth, who are on the lookout for a part-time Learning Support Assistant to support two children with Speech and Language Difficulties (SpLD). The Primary School is an exciting, forward-looking community school in South West London. They are fully committed to inclusion and the pupils with special educational needs reach very high standards.

The school offers a vast range of resources and provision, for a varied and dynamic curriculum experience. The sucessful candidate will work with two children who are currently experiencing learning difficulties, and very clear guidance, support and training will be offered for continuous improvement.

The role:

- Provide personalised support with academic learning and social development in the classroom.

- Implement a learning plan for the children concerned that has been created through discussion with the classteacher and the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo).

- Support the development of the children's speech and general language skills.

- Offer support to groups of children when required.

- Have a current DBS on the Update Service or be willing to get one (Full Assistance Provided).

- Be able to provide 2 references covering 6 years.
