Reading Recovery Teacher

Part time role (5 mornings per week)

Primary School in Great Harwood

Immediate start

Many schools have approached Teaching Personnel for teachers and teaching assistants to deliver catch up sessions, we have esepecially had a high volume of schools in East Lancashire area that have recently approached us to source teachers (NQTs and fully qualified teachers) to deliver core subject intervention/booster sessions. In particular, a primary school in Great Harwood, is hoping to successfully appoint someone on a temporary basis to work with children across EYFS and Key Stage 1.

The part time position is to start as soon as possible until December 2020 initially, you will be covering an absence in school so the role could be extended further. You will be supporting small groups of children in EYFS – Year 2, by delivering ‘out of class’ reading booster sessions. Experience delivering intervention sessions in English/ Phonics/ Reading is essential. A Reading Recovery trained teacher is desirable however not essential.

In order to be successful in this role:

You must hold a recent Reading Recovery qualification that is in date/ or attended recent Reading Recovery CPD 

You must have recent experience within EYFS/ KS1

You must experience planning and delivering Reading Recovery sessions
