MPS / UPS - permanent teaching post available in Sutton for September 2019.
Full time Religious Education (RE) Teacher required for a Sutton base mainstream Secondary school, from September 2019 on a permanent basis.
Due to expansion, this mainstream Secondary school based in Sutton are seeking the addition of a RE teacher for September 2019, either an NQT or an experienced RE teacher. The Governors and Head Teacher wish to appoint a pragmatic RE Teacher who can commit to a full time permanent role at the school.
- Full time RE Teacher required from September 2019
- Permanent post with opportunities to progress in the near future due to departmental plans
- Must hold QTS - alongside relevant subject experience to be considered
- Opportunity to work in 'Good' rated Secondary school in Sutton which continues to excel
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406
This well respected Secondary school has an emphasis on RE as a core subject at school, as it is one of the highest achieving subject areas. The RE Curriculum is inclusive and broad with all pupils receiving a standard 3 hours of Religious Education each week.
The department consists of two Senior Subject Lead Teachers, working under the dedicated guidance of the Director of RE. As the incoming RE Teacher to this Secondary school based Sutton, you can expect to join a supportive staff team where pupils are encouraged to use interactive methods, in order to be challenged to think deeply and develop their understanding of faith and religion.
The responsibilities for the incoming RE Teacher will include;
- Plan, prepare and deliver dynamic RE Lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Evaluate and assess the teaching and learning of all pupils, providing relevant support to ensure the progression is in line with target progress 8 scores.
- Promote the School values and ethos of an inclusive learning environment in line with School Safeguarding, Child Protection and Behaviour policies.
