Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Teacher of Religious Studies (RE) to join one of our partner schools in the Durham area. With fantastic transport links, a fantastic reputation within the local community and a 'Good' Ofsted rating, this is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced or Newly Qualified Teacher to embark on the next stage of their career. Ideally, the perfect candidate will have experience of teaching RE at GCSE and have a proven track record of achievement, however an enthusiastic outlook and desire to teach at this level would suffice.
About the Role:
- Full time role with a view to going permanent after initial trial period of 1 term
- Supportive school and department where staff wellbeing and workload is prioritised
- Potential to teach up to KS5 for the correct candidate
- Starting Easter 2020
Candidate Requirements:
- Candidates do not have to be practising any specific religion
- Must hold QTS and have experience teaching Religious Studies in High Schools
- Ideally will have a track record of strong GCSE results
- Ability to teach Religious Studies or Philosophy and Ethics at A Level would be a distinctive advantage
