Overview of the position:

  • £28,000 - £43,685, dependant on experience.
  • KS3 + KS4 English lessons.
  • Monday to Friday.

An ‘OUTSTANDING’ Ofsted graded school within the Tameside area are currently looking for a full time English to start as soon as possible.

The role will be until the end of the academic year, with the potential to go onto a permanent position.

It’s important for the school that the applicant has a fully qualified teaching status, along with experience working in a similar setting. As well as being fully qualified, the school are also wanting to ensure that the candidate is able to deliver a high standard of lessons, while providing a positive and productive environment for the children in Key stage 3 and key stage 4 groups.

Daily requirements:

  • Plan and deliver suitable lesson to groups from yr7-11 within the correct syllabus.
  • Manage and monitor behaviour effectively.
  • Help to develop students targeted levels in accordance with their currently standard.
  • Support pupils who require additional support within the classroom.

The ideal applicant will have the ability to carry out all the above responsibilities confidently, whilst being able to monitor and control classroom behaviour as well. With an outstanding reputation, the school need to promote a high level of focus and attainment within the classroom, that’s consistently shown throughout the rest of the lessons.

Before starting the Teaching position, Teaching Personnel would have to ensure that all of the following criteria is met before working for the school.

  • Obtaining a full child work force DBS certificate (this can be done through us)
  • Provide 2 work-based references dating back 2 years.
  • Completion of our online safeguarding course.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
