Full time Religious Education (RE) Teacher required for a Bury based Faith school, from January 2019 till the end of the academic year.
Our client Secondary school are seeking a passionate RE Teacher to join their Humanities department, to cover a long term sickness on a full time basis, for two terms.
Due to the Roman Catholic background of the Secondary school, they wish to appoint a dynamic RE Teacher who will uphold and promote the Catholic faith and ethos in line with the school vision.
- Full time RE Teacher Bury, Secondary School.
- January 2019 - for two terms, till the end of the academic year.
- Must hold QTS - alongside relevant subject experience to be considered.

- Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.
This well respected Secondary school has an emphasis on RE as a core subject at school, as it is one of the highest achieving subject areas. The RE Curriculum is inclusive and broad with all pupils receiving a standard 3 hours of Religious Education each week.
The department consists of three Senior Subject Lead Teachers, working under the dedicated guidance of the Director of Humanities. As the incoming RE Teacher, you can expect to join a supportive staff team where pupils are encouraged to use interactive methods, in order to be challenged to think deeply and develop their understanding of faith and religion.
The responsibilities for the RE Teacher will include;
- Plan, prepare and deliver dynamic RE Lessons in line with the 'Religious Education Curriculum Directory for Catholic Schools'.
- 6 hours of General Cover responsibilities will also apply.*
- Evaluate and assess the teaching and learning of all pupils, providing relevant support to ensure the progression is in line with target progress 8 scores.
- Promote the School values and ethos of an inclusive learning environment in line with School Safeguarding, Child Protection and Behaviour policies.
Located in Bury this Roman Catholic Faith Secondary school is easily accessible via the M66/A56 (Bury and Bolton Road). There are also various public transport options available with links across Greater Manchester.
