Job description

Full time Pupil Support Mentor required from February 2019 fixed term till the end of the academic year.

Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a Salford Secondary school to appoint an enthusiastic Pupil Support Mentor who has experience working with young people at a support capacity.   • Full time Pupil Support Mentor from February 2019.
  • Must have previous experience working within a support capacity.
  • Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Earn up to £1350+ dependant upon experience.

The school is based in Swinton, Salford, the Secondary school has just over 750 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. It has been noted for its engaging practice which is shared amongst all staff and the relations built amongst pupils.

The successful Pupil Support Mentor will be required to;

  • Provide high quality support to pupils with SEND enabling them to access learning and achieve their full potential
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as small groups in all areas of the curriculum
  • Prepare materials and give support to staff and pupils as directed
  • Experience of working with pupils with additional learning needs is highly desirable.

Salford is easily accessible via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There are also various public transport options available with links across Greater Manchester.
