Do you have experience supporting adults and/or children who display challenging behaviour?
Are you looking for a new challenge in a Pupil Referral Unit?
This school supports pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education, often for reasons relating to behaviour. Where possible their aim is to return students to a mainstream educational environment and they work to ensure the education students receive whilst is tailored to meet their individual needs and designed to give them the skills to improve their life chances.
The pupils will often display challenging behaviour and a reluctance to engage, so it is essential the ideal Learning Mentor is creative, resourceful and ready to get stuck in!
If you have experience utilising challenging behaviour management in a school environment, or have experience in youth work or residential support, and feel you could contribute to the school, please get in touch,
Requirements
- Experience supporting adults/children with SEMH and/or challenging behaviour as a result of additional needs
- An empathetic and flexible support style
- DBS on the update service (support in application can be provided)
- Team Teach is desirable, and training is available.
