A large Secondary school in Prestwich, Bury have an opening within their support department for a Learning Support Assistant. The incoming Learning Support Assistant will join their team from September, and will work on a full time basis until Christmas.

There is a fixed term contract available for the successful Learning Support Assistant from January 2018, until the end of the academic year. This position will provide invaluable experience to enhance future PGCE applications.

- Full time Learning Support Assistant role, September start

- Perfect position for a Graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant wishing to pursue a career in Secondary teaching.

- Working within the Learning Support Unit, supporting students across KS3 and KS4

- Providing additional 1:1 tuition to pupils identified as below their target

- £55 – £65 per day, depending on previous experience

Our client Secondary school currently has over 1,000 pupils on roll, making it slightly larger than the national average. With direct routes from Manchester City Centre, public transportation links can be utilised to reach the school. The school is also close to the M60 motorway meaning it can be accessed from Rochdale and Salford.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
