Teaching Assistant – Salford

  • Competitive daily rates of pay, up to £60 per day depending upon previous experience.

A small Secondary school in Salford wish to appoint a graduate teaching assistant to join their support department from Easter 2017.

This position is initially being offered until summer, with a fixed term contract available for the successful teaching assistant.

This opportunity will provide you with invaluable experience prior to completing a teacher training programme.

Working as a teaching assistant within our partner school will hold the following responsibilities;

- Full time position from Easter 2017

- Working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis with students who find it difficult to engage in lessons

- Delivering interventions within English, Mathematics and Science

- Liaising with Heads of Faculty to ensure students are reaching their potential.

The school is located near to the centre of Salford and is smaller than the national average with just over 700 pupils on roll. You will have the opportunity to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, building upon behaviour management skills and classroom presence.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
