We're currently looking to recruit Psychology specialists looking at making the progression into a career working in schools.
Teaching Personnel work with a number of our client secondary schools in York who are keen to work with psychology graduates and offer them paid experience in the school working as a member of their support staff. As a psychology graduate at our client school, you will support students with Special Educational Needs during lessons and around the school.
Psychology graduates will act as SEN teaching assistants whilst working at the schools and will hold the responsibility for;
- Helping reduce the barriers to learning for students with Special Educational Needs
- Facilitating learning both during the lesson and in 1:1/small group sessions
- Assisting those students who do not speak English as their first language
- Preparing sources to enhance the SEN provision at the school
Teaching Personnel work with a number of schools in York and North Yorkshire and as such can offer a range of working opportunities from flexible daily cover as a SEN teaching assistant or fixed term positions in a school setting, specialising as Psychology graduate.
Requirements/recommendations of the post;
- A degree specialising in Psychology
- A desire to work in education
- The ability to build rapport with young people who may have additional needs
Benefits available to Psychology graduates;
- GBP10 - GBP11 per hour, paid weekly in arrears

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
