Teaching Personnel might have the perfect opportunity for you. We are working with a school in the Porth area to find a highly motivated and energetic teaching assistant to support a student with emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour. Becoming a teaching assistant will give you invaluable insight into how to manage a challenging classroom environment. You will work with teachers daily to help find a considered and effective approach to help the student learn while helping them with their social interactions around the school.

The school is making huge progress in improving their behavioural ethos around the school. They are keen to welcome driven and passionate individuals who will support in implementing new practices. The school is due to move into a new state of the art facility at Easter time and are looking for support during this stage.

  • Based in Porth CF39
  • Immediate Start date
  • Up to £300 a week
  • Working 1:1 with a pupil who needs emotional support
  • Potentially supporting with small groups of 11-14 year olds
  • Temporary role with likely opportunity to remain permanent at the school.

Previously, Psychology graduates have worked exceptionally well in this school and many have been successful in securing a full time permanent position after completing their PGCE.
