Psychology Graduates required for Teaching Assistant/Support roles in a number of Wigan based secondary schools.

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to register Psychology graduates due to an increase in requirements across a number of our partner secondary schools across the Wigan LEA.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain paid experience within a number of secondary schools, especially those considering a career in education.

• Full time roles available with immediate starting dates.
• Opportunity to gain employment until the end of the academic year in the first instance.
• Permanent contracts and extensions are also available.
• Earn up to £325 per week

Teaching Personnel, the market leader of education recruitment, work with a number of secondary schools across the Wigan and Greater Manchester area's helping to introduce the next influx of future teachers and support staff.

This academic year a number of our partner secondary schools are seeking Psychology graduates to support a rage of different students including those who have SEMH needs as well as students who display challenging behaviour. These support roles will vary in style, with some being support students on a 1:1 basis and others being in small group scenarios.

Psychology graduates are proven to be successful in this role, especially supporting students that display challenging behaviour. Due to an increase in the number of permanent and temporary exclusions across the Wigan areas, our client secondary schools are turning to alternative provisions for these students, with the view to keep them within mainstream education.

Alternatively, Graduates that are keen on a career in teaching will have the opportunity to work flexibly or on a full-time basis providing lesson cover in the absence of the main classroom teacher. This will be fully-supported by Teaching Personnel and by the partner schools that you will be placed in and is great experience for anyone considering a teacher training course in the future.
