Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Psychology Graduates who are looking to work within an SEN school setting as a Specialist Teaching Assistant at a client school based in Newport. You may be asked to support pupils with challenging behaviour and or learning difficulties, either in small groups or on a one to one basis. The school itself is run by a fantastic team of friendly supporting staff. The pupils that attend the client school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. SEN experience is advantageous but not essential for the role. Candidates will be asked to work either within small groups or on a one to one basis. The required time to work will be within 8:30-3:30, we offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £50.44-£60 a day based on experience along with other additional benefits. There are both temporary and permanent roles available for the right candidates.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
