Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Join a large vibrant secondary school in central Manchester, seeking to appoint a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant from September.
This is a full-time position (8:30am – 3:15pm) commencing in September on a temporary basis in the first instance.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and will specialise in Psychology. They will have excellent subject knowledge in Special Educational Needs and Social Emotional Mental Health. This role is suited to any graduates who are considering a career in Educational Psychology or Educational Studies.
Responsibilities of this position:
- Working under the direction of the SENCO to provide support to individual students.
- Supporting inside and outside of the classroom with students with Special Educational Needs.
- Adapting support according to the needs of each individual.
- Attending to student’s physical, social and emotional welfare.
- Providing motivation and guidance to students and acting as a positive role model.
This popular secondary school is located in central Manchester and has over 1000 pupils on roll from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. The building benefits from a wide range of state of the art facilities including a large SEN provision for students with additional needs. The school is located just a short drive from the city centre and for those on public transport, the school is easily accessible by bus or tram from the city centre and surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
